The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo is excellent right now. They have been running 1-2 turbons which has made for a perfect drift on the upper three miles of the lake. Pink egg flies trailed by a grey scud has been producing large numbers of rainbows. We have also been doing well with a pink micro-jig 3-5ft. under a strike indicator. With the low generation the bait fishing downstream in the creeks has been a little slow, however; drifting the main lake with chartreusse and orange power-eggs has been working well. The Corp. of Engineers is saying that they are not going to release much more water than they are now which should make the fishing on Taneycomo very consistant.
