Best fly patterns: The lack of generation has improved the fly fishing over the past week; small scuds and soft shell scuds have been the ticket in #18 or #16, purple, grey and ginger colors have been top producers.

Best spinning tackle: Less generation means the drift bite has been a little tougher this past week; Gulp and power eggs continue to produce in orange, chartreuse and sunrise as have live night crawlers. When the dam is completely shut off crawlers seem to out produce eggs so it is a good idea to have both available.
