Water Temp: 58 F
Clarity: Clear and flooded

With the extremely high water access on Bull Shoals right now is very tough.  I talked to a few of the locals and they told me that the fish were very scattered.  The best pattern right now is on the main lake bluff-ends with a suspending stick bait.  They are catching some bass and an occasional walleye.

Like last week the best bite on Bull right now is the walleye.  The lake is very high which has made the bass fishing very slow but there are some nice walleye being caught on suspending stickbaits near the pot-hole.

Dam Area

Water temp:  75 degrees
Clarity: Clear

The whites are hit & miss.  The best thing is to run around and look for them surfacing.  Throw ½ oz spoons & small top-water baits.  We are catching a few good bass on red-fins over submerged timber.  The best bite is the smallmouth.  They are on flats in 8-12 ft of water and can be caught on ½ oz brown & purple Jewel football jigs and tubes.

Rivers

Water temp:  76 degrees
Clarity: Stained

The rivers are a little slow right now.  There is an early buzz-bait bite but it is hit & miss.  With all the rain and fresh water flowing in, things should improve.

The bass are shallow on Bull Shoals and due to all the rain, more fish should be moving towards the back of the creeks.  Shallow running crank-baits & spinner-baits are very effective on these shallow bass.

The bass fishing has been a little slow during the day.  However, the night-bite has been good.  The large-mouth are hitting slow rolled black spinner-baits and buzz-baits—after dark being the best time.
